Program Details

The Pet Retail industry is a very competitive space. Brands need every competitive edge in order to make their products stand out in the store. All the while, most retailers are limited on space.

The Yummy Combs brand wanted a disruptive display that would draw attention to Yummy Combs dog treats while still keeping within a small footprint. The brand also wanted to be able to utilize the display in almost any environment. Yummy Combs had three goals for the display: 1) educate shoppers on the overall benefits of the product, 2) promote their product that is unique to the category, and 3) highlight the oral care and nutritional health benefits of the product.

 

Execution Details

The design team developed a mini-tower with a unique hexagon-shaped structure. This design approach allowed for positioning in a high-traffic area and enabled eye level viewing and easy access by consumers within small retail environments.

The use of heart-warming photos of dogs, a bold colored base and header, engaged shoppers. The display featured multiple product flavors as well as a consumer brochure attached with the QR code that took the shopper to the brand website for more information about the product.

 

Program Summary/Results

According to the brand, sales were 10x during the promotional period as compared to off-promotion sales. The displays quickly sold through and easily created an opportunity to be refilled with shelf stock.
